J: So I am passed the half way point and so far this is mostly about the relationship between the main characters. There is tons of action and suspenseful excitement but the main plot seems totally secondary. While I like the main characters a lot and have laughed out loud several times, there is too much about sex, which at this point is slowing down the story line and becoming redundant. There is a strong chance though that the story could get really good, and I hope so very soon.OMG! It certainly did!!! I hope this will be a series.

Really, really enjoyed this book! It had it all...great characters, lots of action, suspense and sex! I would definitely read more from this author!
First time reading this author, and was very pleasantly surprised. One of the better books in this genre that I've read lately.
This book is a race to the finish with lots of twists that you'll never see coming. Couldn't put it down, because every turn has a new challenge, and keeps you guessing who the bad guy really is. I loved this author's PNR, and she's got another winner with this romantic suspense story, for sure!
This book has nonstop action right from the beginning until the end. It's one that kept me on the edge of my seat. I had a hard time putting it down because these two would get out of a situation to find themselves right into a new one. The strength and integrity Max has makes her one strong heroine. Everything Lucas thought he knew is about to be turned upside down. Buckle up because Max and Lucas take one hell of a ride with every bump and turn imaginable.
I enjoyed this story quite a bit. Max (heroine) and Lucas have some strong chemistry going for them. I liked the way the bantered, and how they were drawn to each other while still not fully trusting each other.
I didn't like the fact that they didn't trust each other until the very end, as it took some power away from their connection. And the final reveal of the true bad guy they both wanted felt off to me. Without spoiling it, that is.
Wow! What an intense and action packed story from start to finish! I was tired for Max and Lucas and all they endured. You know those fast paced action films everyone loves, that is exactly how it played in my head as I read. Max was a total badass strong female cop. And Lucas was a no holds barred ex special ops turned secret agent. Several of their scenes were laugh out loud funny when they were bickering. They made a great team when working together and protecting each other. I will have to read more if this series because Eli, Caleb, Tess, and even Joe were intriguing to me, making me want to know them too.
After being framed for her best friend's murder, Maxine Walker, a New York detective is discovered hiding out in her friend Sherri's gift shop. She is essentially kidnaped by Lucas McAllister, a private investigator who managed to track her down to the small New Brunswick town. Oh yeah, she is also running due to a price on her head from the Blackwater Group whose mission is drug and arms dealings. You'll love the strong characters and sassy interplay between Max and Lucas and hold your breath as they stumble from one hair-raising encounter to another. Trust Me is a very good who done it drama with lots of action and hot enough to keep the romantics happy. I liked the way several of their scenes were laugh out loud funny when they were bickering. They made a great team when working together and protecting each other as their encounters move from small town to forests to New York City and on to New Jersey. It's well worth the read but it's only fair to warn you that you might not be able to put it down. I will be looking forward to reading more from this author.
